My son and I read the Fablehaven series together and LOVED it. My boys also loved the Candy Shop War, which I haven't read yet. Based on those, I pre-ordered the Beyonders for my son's birthday and brought it along for some spring break reading. I found it slightly hard to get into it (the first couple chapters or so), but once Jason found the book, I was hooked. I really enjoyed the book - maybe not as much as Fablehaven, but there are still 2 books to go! The downside is getting in on the first book from the beginning means a wait to read more!
