In light of the events of September 11, 2001, I suspect that Tom Clancy has a crystal ball hidden somewhere. In addition, beside being a great suspense novel, Clancy has an excellent grasp of the workings of the financial markets. He has thoroughly researched his subject and it shows in the quality of his writing.
