Fantastic 5 star asset for anyone who loves the Bible
I read the Bible often, and love reading any information about the book I am about to begin reading beforehand (for instance, the book of Luke) to get a better idea of the setting/message being applied. But, I don't like reading too much information that takes away my time from reading the actual scripture. That being the case, this book is PERFECT for me!! I really do love it!
This book does an outstanding job of providing an overview of the 66 books of the Bible. Each overview is about two pages in length, getting straight to the point of what the book is about. Here is the information provided for each Book:
* Author
* Date
* In Ten Words Or Less (Overview of the Book in a quick ten word or less format)
* Details, Please (A more comprehensive explanation of the Book in a one paragraph format)
* Quotable (Notable scripture quotes from the Book you are about to read)
* Unique And Unusual (Something unique that comes out of the Book that you may not have heard/known about)
* So What? (A quick, one sentence informative statement of what the Book is stating)
If you enjoy going a little deeper in the word and finding some extra information about the Books of the Bible, you should enjoy this book. It is invaluable to me, as I can also gain better knowledge of each book and pass this information along during my Bible study time with my family. Well done!!

No Biblical scholarship in evidence
I bought this item looking forward to reading a concise summary of each book of the Bible. I was shocked to find that the author provided no more attribution for the first few books of the Old Testament than, "traditionally attributed to Moses." I stopped reading at that point, extremely disappointed.
Over one hundred years of Biblical scholarship, and nothing more is mentioned about the authors of these Biblical books. I also found the summaries of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers (again, I didn't read much further) much too superficial. I do not think this is a good summary for any student of the Bible who knows at least a little something! In fact, I found it useless. I asked for a refund because the first four chapters were so poor. Perhaps the book improves, but I wasn't going to keep reading to find out.

This is an awesome book, very informative. I gave a copy of this book to my mother and a coworker, both were excited to get the book. If you don't have a copy of this, you are missing out. It gives you insight to all of the books in a more informative way. Put it in your purse and go... read it with your bible, or in between appointments.
All I know is that I bought four more copies today, and they were the last ones. I will give these out as gifts and as the Lord leads me. I will also save my self a copy or two, just in case I wear one out.... Whew.... It is awesome!

For those who know very little about the Bible, this is a very good beginning. Helps you know what your are reading.
I was very impressed with this short book which managed to give descriptions of each Bible Book in 10 words or less, then give the primary facts about what the reader will find, and some of the favorite verses. I don't always remember who is credited with writing which Book, yet can find it quickly in this guide. Good job! I am thrilled to have this reference on my Kindle.
I am very disappointed in this booklet. Very thin outline of the 66 books. The book is not worth a penny, along with the $10 shipping fee.
This is a good companion book to have next to your Bible. It's a "just the facts" book, but doesn't contain any historical context. Essential as a quick reference.
This little book gives a great nugget about each book of the Bible. It is small, but it is mighty. Great to keep in your purse or car for easy access.
Very good book. Very informative. A must have for everyone that reads their Bible and desires more knowledge!
Nice little book to give overviews of The Bibles Old And New Testament
This is a nice little book that I carry around with my King James Bible to work. It helps you get a general idea of each Book of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I havent read all the Old Testament yet so this book does help me get an idea about what I havent even read yet. I pray that this book may help others in conjunction with your Bibles!
This is a nice little book that gives little tidbits(like authorship and such) on each of the books of the Bible. Nothing special to it, but a nice addition.
I have been shopping and buying from Amazon for a few years and have Never had anything bad to say about it.Everything I have ever ordered came as promised and in great packaging.I am very pleased with this book but for this first time I am disappointed with Amazon's pricing.I was charged $2.99 for this item---but on the back of the book in the bar code area it very clearly says above the bar code--U.S.$0.99.So,Amazon charged me $2.00 more then the actual price of the book.Dirty Pool-Amazon-really disapponted with this.
Received in like-new condition, in a prompt mannner. I have several books that I want to read before I start this book.
I bought this book because I value the knowledge I have obtained from my other George R. Knight books. This one arrived on my Kendle by some other author. Disappointing. . .
I just bought this and have not had time to read it yet but believe it will be a great quick source.

Each page has the Book of the Bible then the Author of that book, the date of that particular book of the Bible.
This is the best part --- the author gives you a synopsis of the book in ten words or less.
Then there's one quote from that book of the Bible that the author though summed up the whole book.
There's an unique and unusual sentence or two about the book of the Bible being studied.
And lastly there's a neat "So What?" So what is important about this book or so what if ...
I found this small book to be very informative and useful. It's also inexpensive so would make a great book to give a new Christian or to put in a Christmas stocking.
Just a word of caution---this is not a concordance nor could it take the place of a concordance. It's just a book with short information about each book of the Bible.
A found this to be a fantastic 5 star asset for anyone who loves the Bible and wants or needs a quick reference to a particular book of the Bible!
