***Over 1,000 copies sold every week. Thank you all so much for the support and kind emails! We try to answer every one. We are working diligently to bring you the sequel you guys are inquiring about! If you haven't already, please feel free to email us at GreyEyesNovel@gmail.com!***
-We have worked with Amazon to decipher the origin of the "mistakes" several of you have pointed out in your emails. A couple of reviewers have alluded to them as well. It was discovered that we uploaded the wrong file type, and that has been corrected. 15 year old Anastasia Adams has spent her entire life on run. She and her mother have never spent more than 18 months in any one location, often times leaving with just the clothes on their backs. Despite the havoc that this is wreaking on Ana's social and academic life, her mother offers no explanation as to why it is they're constantly moving, or even what it is they're running from. But that all changes one night in the woods of Pelion, SC--the night the terror catches up with them.
Fearing her mother dead, and having barely escaped with her own life, Ana is whisked away to world of privilege and tradition. It’s a fairytale come to life. The poor girl used to living out of a suitcase is now a resident of one of the most exclusive addresses in the world. The people there adore her and she catches the eye of a young guardian who sees her as a refreshing change to the girls he’s grown up with.
If only they could find her mother. If only she knew the consequences of being born a “conjurer.” If only she knew who that green eyed stranger was, the stranger who’ll tell her about a past too romantic, and too tragic to be real. In the end, she’ll have to choose between the boy who has captured her heart and the stranger she can feel down in her soul, assuring at least one of them an almost certain death.

This book was amazing. Totally not worth .99, it is worth waaaay more! Tristan was so complex, Darren was deep. Book 2 can't come out fast enough!
I don't know why amazon insists that my recommendations revolve around books centered in high school age characters- yeah I read twilight, so what!! Anyhow, I've been looking for something to read, bought this on a recommendation and wow! I was really surprised!!
You can get past the high school-ness of it and the way things started to tie in or explain things was phenomenal! I kept making notes and highlighting things with "neat!", "whoa!", and wow this author has such a fresh take on things!!
I really liked this book and can't wait for the next.
I think it was 99 cents- money well spent!!
It was intelligent, well written, great characters and development, and unexpected bits that make your brain work and appreciate the suggestions and explanations because no one else has before (with vampires esp)- to the point you almost say "duh! Why didn't I think of that?!"
Great job author! I'll buy more from you!!

I was a little leery about buying this book since it was only $.99, but I figured if it turned out not to be good that it wasn't a big waste. I'm really glad I did! Definitely worth more than they are charging. If you like the Twilight series or the Mortal Instruments series (my personal fav) then you will like this book. I couldn't put it down. The one annoying thing was the editing. They need to re-edit the kindle version, as the first person didn't do a good job. Really looking forward to the sequel!
I enjoyed this book as a quick read. So for the price it actually felt worth it, although my biggest pet-peeve was the constant love triangle. I don't actually like stories with extreme love triangles, which this story banks on. I don't feel like either one of the male characters grew on me, which made picking a side annoying more than suspense filling. The ending wraps up fine, leaving enough for the follow up story. Over-all I enjoyed the folklore and I hope there will be more development of the magical skills in the sequel.
Good story but awful editing...
I read the book in a day and it was great. Very fast paced! Whoever edited the book for the Kindle did a terrible job and often found myself having to re-read sentences trying to figure out what it should say. Overall it is so worth a read, especially for the .99 Kindle price!
I bought this book because 1) it was cheap and 2) there were plenty of reviews proclaiming its greatness. However as I read, I kept noticing how shallow each character was and how unrealistic certain aspects were. I felt like the story was written by a 15 year-old about a 15 year-old, granted a talented 15 year-old who can write. For instance, the main character, Ana, goes from having a troubled relationship with her mother to absolutely loving her (most teens do not understand and forgive their parents completely in the snap of a finger without any hard feeling or inner turmoil). Also I found myself disliking the shallowness of Ana, herself. One moment she's silly school girl admiring the cliche blonde hair, blue eyed boy and the next she's viciously attacking her grandmother and running away. She, in my mind, is way too childish, and coming from someone only a few years older than 15, it shouldn't be that noticeable. Also Darren, the love attraction apparently has a reputation for sleeping around, mind you at 15, which he decides to change for Ana. The attempt at making him a bad boy fails even though the constant mention of the vast number of girls he's slept with (at 15), and his sudden change seems unrealistic. The banter between the two lovers is also stereotypical and banal because of its lack or originality. Overall, I felt like there was a lot of jumping around when the author tried to either develop plot or characters, transitions are key, and more depth would've added to making the story line realistic and relatable.
Impressive debut. I found myself caught up in Ana's conflict about her "destiny", the characters were likable and complex each having positive aspects that left me hopeful for all instead of assigning the good guy/bad guy role and I didn't know the ending by the middle of the book! I also liked the way the characters avoided completely mirroring other characters in books of the genre and am anxious to see what the outcome will be for each. Will I buy the sequel? Yup!
I absolutely loved this book. I generally do not like romance novels, but Grey Eyes was amazing. This book was like Twilight, Harry Potter, and an Agatha Cristie novel mixed together to form the perfect combination. Overall, I highly recommend this book and can't wait till the sequel comes out!
I have to say that I really love the story. I was pulled in from the very beginning. I do have some negative feedback though. Although I love the story, I have to say they need to proofread their work better. There are alot of words missing in sentences and words out of place. I also noticed alot of runon sentences. Some were almost as long as the paragraph itself. But other than things like that, this book is a must read. It is a bargain at 99 cents and I can't wait for the next one come out!
My friend loaned me this book and I was excited to read it because she said it was like the trylle trilogy. I read it and yes it was. It is a mixture between that and the fallen series and that is simply great. My only problems are the gramatical errors. There are words missing, added words, and words that are in the wrong order so you have to decipher the sentences. But other than that it is great and I would recommend it to everyone. Cannot wait til the next book comes out :)
Great story line! A very original and beautiful story :-) I can't wait til book 2 comes out :-) Cheers!
I loved this book!! I can't wait for the next one! I had such a hard time putting this book down, I actually sat my 3 year old down in front of the TV so I could finish it!!
I did not expect much..especialy for the price and the fact that it had a male author (yeah I know). However, I found it to be quite a lovely story, quite unique and very intriguing. I've read a ton of YA books lately (outside my age range BTW) and thought the characters were well developed and the story was just heart wrenching. I am hopefully for a second book, sooner rather than later!
This has been in my recommendations for a while now, and I finally gave in. This was an amazingly deep and moving story, I was very suprised. Heart wrenching and beautiful. I fervently hope the novel has as much success as it truly deserves.
I really enjoyed this book. I found only one typographical error so whatever problems existed with the book, they no longer exist at this time. It is a funny, supernatural mystery story that kept me reading! I can't wait for the next book!
This was a bit disappointing but for the price it was okay. I found the premise interesting but the plot dragged for me and I found myself wanting to just have this end.
Truth to tell the end was not the end and will probable carry to other books which I will probably pass up.

Great 99 cent YA paranormal romance!
Hey guys! We are really excited to present you with a fantastic new YA paranormal romance. It is an honor to share this story with you, and I hope that you fall in love with the characters as much as we have. Enjoy!
This book was good at the beginning and I really liked it but as the book progressed it just got dumber and dumber. The reactions to situations were completely ridiculous, the co main character, tristan i think, he kept telling himself not to do things and then doing them anyway for every decision he had to make. That got on my nerves. The main character couldn't follow her own path and just like everyone else walked the exact same path as all those before her. She made some incredibly stupid decisions and she was ridiculously predictable. The books concept was ok but the exicution was dreadful, predictable, and incredibly frustrating. All in all I wish I hadn't bought it and wouldn't urge you to do so. Don't waste you money or time on this book like me.
I just finished the book last night, and I am wondering if this story is based on any legends or other known old story, becuase I was looking through "amazon's suggestions" specifically targeted towards me and I came across two books, Promise (first book in series) and Purpose (second book in series) both by Kristie Cook, I couldn't help but notice the VERY close similarities in the book description and the story of "Grey Eyes". After reading "grey Eyes" and then reading the book descriptions for Promise and Purpose, I had to do a little double take between internet tabs to see if they were by the same person becuase it's way too close of similarities for comfort, I was worried I had missed the first two books in the series, and those that have read "Grey Eyes" will understand what I'm talking about.
Don't mean to suggest anything, becuase I absolutely LOVED "Grey Eyes", but did the author "somehow" not come up with this story on his own? Looking for some honest opinios here. Also, I have not read Promise or Purpose by Kristie Cook yet, but I do know they came out before "Grey Eyes", so I can't really say for sure how close the similarities are, but just by reading Promise and Purpose book discriptions I felt like it was all connected to Grey Eyes by Brandon Alston, or perhaps the other way around seeing Grey Eyes came out this year, after the other two books.

If the version I read was supposed to be the "corrected" version, I would hate to see the original. I found words misplaced, incorrect grammar (Ex: sung instead of sang), incorrect words (Ex: too instead of two), and at times it was difficult to understand what the sentence was supposed to mean. I have read hundreds of Kindle version books and found a few errors. This book has the most errors I've ever seen in a book. Where is the editor?
The storyline is fairly good, with a basic premise that isn't too ordinary. There were a few twists you didn't expect. But, the teenage love triangle was a bit much in places. My high school students might enjoy the plot. It was a quick read.
I almost wish I had put more faith in some of the reviews I read and not purchased the book. Will I purchase the sequel? Probably not.

The only negative about the story was a very bad editing job. Several times it was difficult to decipher the true meaning of a passage due to missing words or words that were misplaced. There were also some formatting issues, but these are easily overlooked. The lack of good editing however really took away from the story.
